Lifesum: Health and Nutrition App Reviews

:(

Looks nice but... synchronization over various devices is not working properly (calendar days are usually mismatched), no options for adding extra meals so you have only breakfast, lunch and dinner. Poor.

Great, irreplaceable!

Cool

App is cool but I liked the previous design more. I guess its all about getting used to it.

Double sync

Application double the HealthKit data

Great!

Great application that gives you more knowledge and control regarding eating

Problems with search results

I cant stand using search in this app. Keyboard hides while typing, results are off (like, "honey" gives me "tomato soup"). Other than that, the app is great and helped me to start changing my eating habits. Thanks!

Language problem on Apple Watch

Ive got Dutch instead of English. iOS 9.2.1, WatchOS 2.1 (Polish)

Best weight loss app ever!

Amazing calories tracking with scanning bar codes of food from all over the world!

Usefull

This app is very useful to check the way you eat and get a better lifestyle

Nice, helpful but it can do better

Fairly interesting app, especially for providing information on what it means to have balanced nutrition with respect to specific diets. It would be helpful to know how these considerations are done, and to get information on the suggested diets before actually starting it. Extra helpful features could be the possibility to add foods that are consumed on a daily basis without having to add them every day at the same time. Also suggestions on how to fix the day when going off track would be useful. As a premium user Im not satisfied having repetitive recipes and suggestions day by day. It can be ameliorated.

Nice app, bad marketing

Nice app, anyway after a month that ive been using it (free version) a banner appeared to convince me to buy the full version (discounted 25%). However, I do not need full version features. Whats bad?: some of the free version features (i.e. The "details" ) have been disabled. Very bad marketer, ill fint another app.

Love this app

Always great to keep me on track and concious of what Im putting in my body

Looks Great, Works Poorly

That app is gorgeous. Its also functionally a flop. Its really sad that the "Gold" version (paid) is actually still worse than My Fitness Pals FREE version. I wanted to like this app really badly but sadly even the premium paid experience just isnt up to the standards of the competition. Whats wrong with it? Sorely lacking nutritional information. Dead wrong nutritional information. Locking key features behind a pay wall, when it doesnt even get the main objective of the app correct (nutrition). Wrong and pointless food grading, considering dietary needs vary. Even the barcode scanner can take a good 5 seconds longer than My Fitness Pals nearly instant scanner, which gets annoying fast. Bottom line: a gorgeous app with very little substance. Maybe over time Lifesums functionality will improve, but right now its subpar and every meaningful way.

Friends doesnt work

Good interface and nice features but the friend connect feature isnt working.

Makes a difference, lost weight

Tried this app, logged daily food intake and learned where my diet was failing me. I was consistent in logging info and have lost 18lbs in less than two months. Very satisfied. I recommend you fully commit and watch the weight loss begin.

Looks nice, but free version is worthless

Recipes are locked if you are not a paid premium user. Additional meal planning suggestions are locked unless you pay for it. All you really can do is log your own food and personal recipes - I already know what I eat and that its not working for me. I could have written my meal planning on paper faster than using this app. I would have loved using this because its UI is easy, but it needs more substance first.

Awesome concept with some flaws

The app closed on me when I tried to make my own meal. I sadly paid for the year today without checking out some other apps too. The app does not help you figure out how to tweak your ideal carb, fat and protein intake or your calorie content - but if youre fine researching it yourself then its very easy to adjust. I am a very healthy eater and active, yet this gave me meal scores of C-D because I did not eat enough compared to the default settings. All in all, its a good app but you need to do research on your ideal food intake based on your goals in order for it to work the best. Great tracker, poor teacher.

Very Beautiful Design with bugs in the system..

Unable to receive notifications...I would be happy if I can get refund for my Gold subscription..

Water

Please allow your app to import water data from Apple Health.

Disappointing!!

The app has miscalculated my calories burned for over a week! Which makes it extremely difficult to measure my progress during the day. For example: for 135 steps from bathroom to kitchen it shows that I burned 88 calories 10 minutes into my day. I wish! Come on Lifesum, fix the bugs!!!
